Remote Online Notary, Apostille and Document Legalization
Your Private Advocate assists individuals, families and businesses with remote online notarization, apostille coordination and the preparation of documents for official use in the United States, Bulgaria and abroad. Each request is reviewed to determine the appropriate notarization, certification, apostille, translation or legalization procedure.
Remote Online Notarization
Remote online notarization may be suitable for powers of attorney, affidavits, declarations, acknowledgments, business documents and other eligible records. Acceptance requirements vary depending on the document, receiving institution and jurisdiction. Every request is reviewed before the appointment to determine whether remote notarization is legally and practically appropriate.
The Advantages of RON
Remote Online Notarization provides a fast, convenient and secure way to complete an eligible notarization without traveling to a notary’s office. The signer and the notary meet through an approved real-time audio-video platform, complete identity verification and electronically sign and notarize the document. This process may save considerable time, travel expenses and international courier costs.
The notarization is performed by Vassiliy Kolganov, a commissioned Nevada Electronic Notary Public, who completing the electronic notarial act. A signer may participate from another U.S. state or, when the legal requirements are satisfied, from a country outside the United States.
Signing from Outside the United States
A person located in Bulgaria or another country may use Nevada Remote Online Notarization when the requested notarization is not prohibited in the signer’s location and the document:
• will be filed with or relates to a matter before a court, governmental agency or other entity in the United States;
• relates to property located in the United States; or
• relates to a transaction substantially connected with the United States.
For example, a Bulgarian citizen located in Bulgaria may remotely sign a power of attorney authorizing another person to represent them before a U.S. Department of Motor Vehicles, the Social Security Administration or another U.S. institution. A person located in Bulgaria may also sign eligible documents connected with the sale, purchase or management of real property located in the United States.
A document that has no qualifying connection to the United States cannot be remotely notarized under this provision when the signer is physically located outside the United States. Every document must be reviewed in advance, and the receiving institution should confirm that it will accept an electronically notarized document.
Signing While Physically Located in the United States
When the signer is physically located within the United States, the additional requirement that the document be connected to a U.S. court, governmental entity, property or transaction does not apply. The signer may participate remotely from Nevada or another U.S. state while the electronic notary is physically located in Nevada.
Eligible documents written entirely in Bulgarian or Russian may be notarized directly without being accompanied by an English translation, provided that the notary can communicate with the signer, understand the document sufficiently to perform the requested notarial act and complete an appropriate notarial certificate.
The receiving court, agency, financial institution or other organization may nevertheless require a certified English translation or impose additional requirements before accepting the document. Notarization verifies the identity and signature of the signer; it does not certify the accuracy of the document’s content or its translation.

Mobile notary appointments are available in Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada. Services may be provided at a residence, business, hospital, assisted-living facility or another agreed location. Apostille and Document Legalization
Your Private Advocate coordinates apostille, authentication and document legalization services for documents intended for official use in the United States, Bulgaria and other countries. Assistance may include reviewing the document, identifying the appropriate issuing authority, arranging notarization when required, obtaining an apostille or authentication certificate, coordinating certified translation and preparing the completed document package for delivery.
Request an Apostille or Legalization Service
The required procedure depends on where the document was issued, where it will be used and the requirements of the receiving authority. An apostille is issued by the competent governmental authority—not by the notary—and does not certify the accuracy, validity or legal effect of the document’s contents.
